Man Suggests Househelps Be Paid Half Salaries To Tame Them: "Respect People"

A Kenyan man on Twitter has rendered the online streets ungovernable by saying that house help should be paid half salaries to tame them.

Kimani says they become stubborn after pay

Identified as Polo Kimani (Metroboomin), the man said being shrewd with paying maids was a valuable lesson that is not taught in any school.

"The secret is to give them half or quarter salaries if possible: this is just to tame her and keep her in line. If you make the mistake of paying them the full amount, it's highly possible that she will run away and leave the baby at the neighbour's place," he said.

In an interview, Kimani narrated how his former house help , identified as Gladys, used to be stubborn as soon as she was paid.

Househelp leaves Kimani's baby with neighbour

"She was recommended to by a pal who said she was good, she was a little older than me, I'm 26 she was 33. Her work was good, but immediately I paid her at the end of the month she would get overexcited," he said.
"She would casually disappear for hours, saying she was at a friend's place. The second month after I paid her on a Monday, my wife came back home on Tuesday only to find the mama left taking with her a few packets of unga and my wife's stockings. She left the child at the neighbour's place," he revealed.

According to the tweep, househelps start becoming restless after getting their salaries and getting so many things to do.
