In a heart-wrenching development, the mother of the pregnant lover of 20-year-old Kwadwo Bright, who was stabbed to death over a plastic chair dispute, has cried out in pain.

YEN.com.gh understands that Kwadwo Bright was killed in the early hours of Thursday, September 4, 2025, in Ashanti New Town, Kumasi.
He happened to be the father of the child of a 16-year-old lady who is currently said to be seven months pregnant, their second child together. The incident, which has grabbed headlines, began as a disagreement at a snooker game centre.
Kwadwo and a friend of his allegedly argued over the ownership of a plastic chair. Despite an initial resolution, the dispute escalated, leading to Kwadwo being stabbed in the neck. He was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Late Kwadwo's girlfriend's mother weeps
In an emotional interview that has circulated on social media, the sad, grieving mother of the teenager disclosed the personal tragedy intertwined with the young man's death. The woman, in pain, said:
"Because of Bright, my daughter's life is being ruined at such a young age. I just don't want any more trouble to come from this."
The woman also explained that she has no family support and is overwhelmed by the financial and emotional burden of caring for her grieving, pregnant teenage daughter and grandchild.

She expressed deep concern for her daughter's future, fearing she might be forced into a difficult life to survive. She also confirmed that the deceased's mother had never approved of the relationship and is now pleading with the public for any assistance to help her family navigate this tragedy.
