Ofori Sarpong talks about his love for cars: "It started when I met Despite"

“I started school in Wa. My father was one of the police commanders in the then Special Branch, now the Bureau of National Intelligence (BNI). He kept travelling around. He opened most of BNI’s branches. From Wa, we came down to Accra, then to Tema and back to Accra, and then he left the service. So, after that, I've spent all my life in Accra. My mother was involved in trading and imports."

When it was time for him to go to a secondary school, Ofori Sarpong attended PRESEC, Legon, where he was a Science student.

He indicated that he had a dream of becoming a doctor, even though the family business of trading and imports was going on. However, he joined the family to work right after he completed his secondary education.

"My idea wasn't to get into entrepreneurship. I did Science in PRESEC, and I wanted to become a medical doctor, but I eventually became acquainted with the family business. After PRESEC, I moved straight into business, but while I was doing business, I did a number of courses."

Ofori Sarpong said even though his younger self did not think he'd become an entrepreneur, he does not regret his decision.
