Bride In Tears After Groom Leaves Wedding Early To Go Drinking With Friends: "So Humiliating"
- A bride's would-be happiest day turned sour when her groom went missing immediately after the wedding
- Upon inquiring, she learned that the newlywed had gone to the club for a drink with friends and it made her sad
- The heartbroken woman expressed how humiliating the incident was as she could not answer her guests when they asked why the groom was missing
A woman has shared her traumatic experience of being left alone at her wedding reception by her husband.
In a heartbreaking account on Reddit, the bride disclosed that the groom chose to spend time with friends at a local pub instead.
Family kept asking where the groom went
The incident humiliated her as family members and guests questioned her husband's whereabouts. This made her feel worthless.
"He left me there on my own, in my big poofy dress, feeling worthless," the woman recalled.
She revealed that she has since divorced her husband, so she decided to share the story on social media.
Her marriage, which lasted just over eight years, ended due to escalating mistreatment from her husband towards her and their children.
Experience frustrated her
Despite her efforts, she believes her husband never truly wanted her and was incapable of love.
"Thinking about it now, years and years later, I am shaking with rage. It’s humiliating, and I feel so sad for the person I used to be," she continued.
The woman expressed gratitude for the support she received online, noting a sense of relief in knowing she was not alone.
She praised her children for their strength, humour, and love, stating that she couldn't be prouder of them.
