Beatrice Nana Yaa Owarewa Siaw, an aspiring parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Asante Mampong Constituency, has reportedly died.
According to a report by Asaase News on Facebook, the NPP Council of Patrons member passed away at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital on August 8, 2026. The cause of death and the full circumstances surrounding her passing had not been officially disclosed at the time of this report.

Beatrice Nana Yaa Siaw's Asante Mampong ambitions
Popularly known as Nana Yaa, Siaw had been an active voice in the contest for the NPP's parliamentary ticket in Asante Mampong, frequently engaging delegates and constituents ahead of the party's primaries.
During a recent campaign engagement, she outlined what she described as an extensive track record of investment in the constituency. She claimed her development work in the area exceeded GH¢40 billion in value, telling supporters: "As I mentioned earlier, I have done over 40 billion Ghana cedis' worth of projects and I'm even doing projects that have never been done before."
She pointed to those contributions as central to her case for securing the party's nomination, arguing that her grassroots ties and leadership approach set her apart from other aspirants.

Who was Beatrice Nana Yaa Siaw?
Beyond her development record, Siaw consistently framed her campaign around accessibility and community connection. She spoke of her close relationship with ordinary constituents as a defining aspect of her candidacy.
"Because of these projects and because of my humility and talking to the grassroots makes me a key component, a key person to get the nod as a Member of Parliament," she said.
She also spoke to her philosophy of listening to those she sought to represent. "I listen to the people, I love the people… the people believe in me and I also believe in the people to make the right decision to vote for me, to give me the nod. Without them, who am I?" she remarked.
Siaw had described herself as the right choice for the Asante Mampong Constituency and called on delegates to back her parliamentary bid.
