Yussif Jajah confirmed the news in a public post, stating that the death occurred on the evening of August 9. He did not disclose the cause of death.

News of Jajah's passing spread rapidly online, prompting an emotional response from Ghanaians, including those who had personal ties to him.

@TamimuCleanHeart recalled being in contact with Jajah just hours before his death:

"I had to re read this message thrice. Herrrhh. We were scheduled to meet during his recent visit in Ghana but Allah didn't will it. We were on a call last week and he said he's travelled back so I never got the opportunity to meet him in person. Shockingly yesterday we had conversed on WhatsApp and now you're no more. Indeed to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannah and give patience, strength and comfort to the family."
