After coming under heavy criticism in Italy, the towering Swede recently explained his role at AC Milan.
Ibrahimovic is known for his charismatic and cocky personality, which has received love and hate of equal measure during his career.
After retirement, he joined the club as a senior advisor, and things have not started well for his club this season.
The Italian giants have won once in their opening five matches this season, including a home loss to Liverpool in the Champions League.
Zlatan explains his role at AC Milan
After AC Milan's 3-1 loss to Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday, the retired striker clarified his role at the club with an explanation only Zlatan would give.
His answer amused the panel with Frank Lampard, Daniel Sturridge and Clarence Seedorf.
"I am the boss and I am in charge, all the others work for me." Ibrahimovic said via ESPN.
He also responded to criticism from former club director Zvonimir Boba.
"When the lion goes away, the kittens arrive. When the lion comes back, the kittens disappear," Ibrahimović said. "The level is very low, there is too much talk, but I only think about working. I was away for personal reasons, but I have been here since day one."
The 42-year-old won 32 trophies, including 13 league titles, in his career and scored 511 goals, per BBC.

In another report, YEN.com.gh reported that Ibrahimovic was at his charismatic best when he met up with Erling Haaland.
After Manchester City's friendly game against Milan, an off-the-pitch moment involving Ibrahimovic and the Norway international stole the spotlight.
Haaland presented Ibrahimovic with a signed City home jersey, and the Swedish legend remarked that they needed "no filters" when posing for photos together.
