The French captain was spotted at a nightclub in Stockholm on the same night his side beat Israel 4-1 in the UEFA Nations League, as reported by Swedish outlet Aftonbladet.
What Mbappe reportedly told Deschamps
Foot Mercato now reports that the former Paris Saint-Germain striker has informed his head coach, Didier Deschamps, of his intention to only play the 'important' matches for his country.
The report claims that Mbappe is wary of the increasing number of games and wants to reduce his workload to limit the chances of getting an injury.
Ballon d'Or 2025
It is understood that the 2018 World Cup winner is targeting next year's Ballon d'Or and wants to maintain his fitness throughout the season.
It will be interesting to see how Deschamps uses his captain for France's upcoming games. The European giants play Israel and Italy next month.
Real Madrid's next matches
Mbappe, meanwhile will be waiting for the return of club action where Real Madrid play Celta Vigo next weekend in La Liga before welcoming Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. Afterwards, Mbappe might get his first taste of action in the El Clasico when they host Hansi Flick's Barcelona.
