Manchester United, who are the defending champions, will travel to the Emirates Stadium on January 12. The Red Devils surprisingly beat Manchester City in last season's final to give Erik ten Hag his second trophy in as many years.

What is the issue between Manchester United and Arsenal?

Mail Online, however, reports that a slight disagreement has ensued between Manchester United and Arsenal over the fans' allocation.

According to the FA competition rules, the away team is supposed to get 15% of the stadium's capacity, which in this case is 9,000, given Emirates is a 60,000-seater stadium.

Manchester United file complaint against Arsenal

However, Manchester United was given a significantly lower number, which is unacceptable to Old Trafford chiefs. Attempts to resolve the issue between the two cubs are said to have failed, leaving United with no option but to file a complaint with the FA.

United feel that the kickoff of the game, 3 PM UK time, is ideal to prevent any crowd trouble. Matches have often been brought forward to ensure the security of fans is guaranteed.

This will be the 17th meeting between the two clubs in the FA Cup. They have already met in the league this season, where Arsenal beat Amorim's United 2-0 at the Emirates.
