Air Canada Passenger Opens Aircraft Cabin Door And Falls To The Ground
- The passenger, for some reason, wanted to get out of the aircraft he had just boarded, so he opened the door and tumbled 20 feet to the ground

An Air Canada flight bound for the Middle East was delayed for six hours after one of the passengers fell from the aircraft.
The passenger was aboard Flight AC056 bound for Dubai from Toronto when he opened a cabin door, falling onto the tarmac just before takeoff.
Passenger fell 20ft
Daily Mail reports that the Boeing 777 aircraft, parked at Toronto Pearson International Airport, was preparing for departure when the unusual event occurred.

Air Canada confirmed that the incident occurred during the boarding process after the passenger opened a door on the opposite side of the plane instead of proceeding to his assigned seat.
The individual sustained injuries upon falling to the tarmac, given that he fell a distance of 20 feet.
Emergency services and authorities were immediately alerted and responded to the scene.
Incident caused 6-hour delay
Air Canada reported that Flight AC056, carrying 319 passengers, departed nearly six hours behind schedule.
The airline emphasized that all approved boarding and cabin operating procedures were followed during the incident.
While confirming the incident, the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) stated they were working with the airline, Peel Regional Police, and Peel EMS to provide necessary support.
"It was determined that the individual was in a state of crisis when this incident occurred and suffered relatively minor injuries from falling onto the tarmac,” police said.
Airpoty officers apprehended the individual and transported him to a local hospital for treatment.
Eight killed in Colombia plane crash
A small plane crashed in Medellin, Colombia, killing all eight people on board.
The aircraft, which reported engine failure after takeoff from Olaya Herrera airport, crashed into a residential area, causing a house to collapse and igniting a fire.
Emergency services are on the scene, and there is no information yet on casualties on the ground.
