One more week in the premier league and the inconsistency tale from Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak, currently, WAFA are in a total free fall, whereas team Accra Hearts of Oak are getting prepared to return to Accra, directly to their home base.
Inconsistency of Kotoko
The boss of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Paa Kwesi Fabian, on Sunday when they had to face a defeat at Dreams FC, accused his team of trying to go for cheap goals. It was clear that, at the Theatre of Dreams, the Porcupine Warriors clearly seemed to have gone for a draw which was totally goalless, until George Dwubeng showed up at the end period just to cause another loss.
Kotoko had lost 3 times out of a total of 7 games. What once dominated the Ghana league had lost their spark now. Even, Fabian was seen struggling to keep up as well. He was actually meant to restore Kumasi’s title after a number of 4 seasons.
The main issue could be the errors in defence strategies which have occurred multiple times in this season. It is time for Fabian to fix the problems of inconsistencies before he starts to receive questions regarding flaws in his leadership skills.
Hearts of Oak need a different home rather than Cape Coast
Cape Coast being the home venue for the Accra Hearts of Oak seems kind of illogical because it is quite absurd. A proper atmosphere is required in the venue for a great game and this seems to be absent. The problem was highlighted when the team faced a defeat against Elmina Sharks and had to drop down at the Ghana league table. The fans of the club have demanded to return back to Tema or even Accra and Kwame Opare Addo, the Public Relations Officer of the club has assured that he will consider this issue later at the season’s second half.
WAFA in not a great spot
The Sogakope side initially begun the current season in an awesome manner and had seemed to be prepared to fight for the trophy exactly the way they did in the last season. Apparently, it is still possible, but unfortunately, it was very difficult for Klaus Rasmussen in the last couple of weeks.
If we include the losses, it can be said that the 2-1 loss to Eleven Wonders which they had to bear this time has entitled to become their 4th loss in a row now.
