Early life
The singer was born on March 2, 1974, to his parents Mr Johnson Kwadwo Ofori and Mrs. Georgina Nkansah. His father later passed on in 2017. The musician hails from Agogo, Ashanti Region, in the heart of Ghana.
He schooled at Agogo Practice School and Konongo Odumase Secondary School. As a student, he had a passion for reading and poetry, which came in handy for him later in his career. There is no information on Ofori Amponsah height.

Life transition
The singer decided to move from secular to gospel music in 2013. He then founded a church called The Family of Faith and Love Ministries, where he became a pastor. After a short while, he switched back to secular music and stated that he would still reach out to souls through his love songs.
