Isaac Kofi Gyamfi, one of the stars in the 2020 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), has excelled in the 2020 West African Secondary School Examinations (WASSCE).
Gyamfi who was one of the contestants from Presby Boys Senior High School (PRESEC, Legon) which won the school's sixth title scored full marks.
The super-substitute for PRESEC got straight 'As' in all the eight subjects he sat for.
The subjects are: Social Studies, English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science, Elective Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
The results slip of Gyamfi has been circulating on social media since the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) released the 2020 WASSCE provisional results on Friday, November 13, 2020.
Gyamfi is not the only one who has performed excellently in the WASSCE. His co-contestant and star of PRESEC's team, Daniel Kekeli Gatekpor, has also had his result slip circulating on social media.
Just like his performance in the 2020 National Science and Maths Quiz, Gakpetor has also distinguished himself by scoring straight 'As' in all the eight subjects he sat for.
Meanwhile, a science student of Achimota School named Mercy Nana Ama Akomprah has obtained straight As in the 2020 WASSCE.
Mercy Akomprah earned high scores in all eight subjects, including Chemistry, Biology, and Elective Maths.
Earlier, YEN.com.gh sighted photos of the result slip a student of St. Louis Senior High School who has scored straight 8As in the just ended 2020 WASSCE.
From the results which have been circulating on social media so far, it looks like the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) flagship Free Senior High School programme which was very much criticised has yielded positive results.
The pioneers of the free SHS programme really took advantage of the opportunity that was given to them.
Just like Gyamfi and Gakpetor, Akomprah and the St Louis girl are being celebrated on social media for her brilliant performance.
