Our manifesto: This is what YEN.com.gh believes in
The Ghana Library Authority has taken to its social media to celebrate a student of the Aburi Girls Senior High School for her remarkable performance in the 2020 West African Senior Secondary Certificate Eaamination, (WASSCE).
The student, Lois Osei- Sekyereh aced all her subjects in the examinations.
Just like other students from other schools Lois also is a beneficiary of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP's free senior high school initiative.
According to a post sighted on Facebook by YEN.com.gh, the Ghana Library Authority noted that Lois also won the National Digital Writing Challenge.
The Ghana Library Authority specially congratulate her for the incredible feat and wish her many more years of excellence.
It looks like the NPP's free SHS which was very much criticised since its inception is yielding very positive and encouraging results.
Results coming in have gone to prove that pioneers of the free SHS programme really took advantage of the opportunity that was given to them.
In a related news, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that business student, Afari Elizabeth Afua Alaboa, also from the Aburi Girls SHS, aced all core subjects, English, Mathematics, Integrated Science and Social Studies.
Even in Economics, which happens to be one of the most difficult elective subjects most business students battle with, Elizabeth scored an A.
Daniel Kekeli Gakpetor, the young man who became the star of the 2020 National Maths and Science Quiz (NSMQ) also passed with distinction as expected.
Gakpetor, with his exceptional intelligence, led Presby Boys Senior High School (PRESEC, Legon) to their sixth NSMQ title and became an instant sensation on social media.
Just like his brilliant performances for PRESEC in the NSMQ, Gakpetor has scored full marks in his WASSCE.
He scored As in all the eight subjects he wrote, namely Social Studies, English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science, Elective Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
