24-year-old Gifty Frimpong, has been ordained as a minister of the gospel in the Assemblies of God Church after completing four-year intensive pastoral studies.

In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on graphic.com.gh, the student of the University of Cape Coast Medical School attended the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, South Campus at Kormantse in the Central Region.

At just 24 years of age, Pastor Gifty Frimpong is the youngest person to be ordained minister of the popular Ghanaian Christian sect.

The woman of God would undergo another one-year of service at a church to understudy the branch pastor of Adenta.

Reverend Professor Paul Frimpong Manso, the Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Ghana, acknowledged the sacrifices that both faculty and students over the years.

Rev. Prof. Frimpong Manso admonished the new pastors to get ready to endure the turbulence and high moments that come with being servants of God.

“Some of you will start your ministry work from the scratch. Others may be assigned to already existing churches and yet some of you will be assisting your senior ministers.

Rev. Prof. Frimpong Manso also urged the graduating ministers to desist from unnecessary comparison and competition.

In a statement at the ordination ceremony, Pastor Gifty Frimpong thanked God for the blessing and protection given to her throughout her four-year training.

Reverend Dr Joyce Frimpong, the head pastor of the Jehovah Jireh Assemblies of God Church, who doubles as the mother of Gifty, said she made a promise to God to dedicate her daughter to the ministry and she has seen it through.

In another development, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that a young lady believed to have completed junior high school after successfully writing her Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) has been spotted crying in a video.

Information picked up from the video has it that the young lady went to check her BECE results and was surprised and displeased with the results she was seeing.

As the result slip was shown to her, she burst out into uncontrollable tears out of disbelief and claimed she wrote the papers well enough to deserve higher grades.
