On Friday, April 16, 2021, Poloo was sentenced to a 90-day jail term after she pleaded guilty to charges of publishing obscene material with two counts of domestic violence over posting a photo of herself and her son in 2020.
Following the sentence, people in Ghana's creative industry started a petition to ask President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to pardon Poloo. The petition currently has over 34,000 signatories including that of rapper Joey B.
