Israel's military started by sending warning shots before bringing down the Jala Tower in the Gaza Strip.

The 12-story-building is one of the largest structures in the Gaza strip.

The building, which was reduced to rubble, mainly hosts media offices that cover Gaza. An adjacent building was directly targeted on Friday, May 14.

The militant group Hamas has intensified rocket fire from the besieged enclave towards Tel Aviv.

On Friday night, a bomb from an Israel air raid struck a residential building in Gaza, killing at least 10 people, including children.

It is the deadliest single strike so far in this recent conflict.

Hamas militants moved hundreds of rockets towards Israel, some hitting residential areas.

The conflict has also spread to the larger Palestinian territory, the West Bank.

The evacuated staff AP’s staff were reported safe.

The Israeli airstrikes on Gaza have left at least 140 Palestinians dead, including 39 children and hundreds injured.

Muslim countries have recently reacted to the conflict condemning Israel for the aggression against Palestinians in Jerusalem.

"The international community should also give a strong and different lesson to Israeli. The UN Security Council should get involved, give a clear message to Israeli to halt attacks before the crisis grows further," said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

According to the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Israeli wants to convince the world that what happened in Sheikh Jarrah is a real-estate dispute over some homes.

Celebrated singer and businesswoman Rihanna has spoken out on the ongoing Gaza strip hostilities.

Via a social media post on May 13, Rihanna said her heart went out to the innocent children caught up in the conflict pitting Israel against Palestine.

Rihanna called to end the conflict, saying she could not bear to see innocent children dying.

The fashion designer opted not to take sides and instead said that she stands with humanity.
