Stephen Apemah-Baah: OWASS NSMQ Star Admits He Initially Wanted To Attend Prempeh College Or Presec

Stephen Apemah-Baah, a first-year student representing Opoku Ware School (OWASS) in this year's National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), has confessed that he initially fancied the idea of attending either Prempeh College or Presbyterian Boys' Senior High School.

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on YouTube, the 16-year-old, in an interview with Joy News, explained that while in JHS 2, he settled on Prempeh College as his dream school.

He said his preference changed in JHS 3, where he then decided to pursue his secondary education at the Presbyterian Boys' Senior High School.

Stephen explained that the decision to settle on OWASS as the school he would finally attend was made very late:

"Opoku Ware wasn't my first choice initially but last last I came here."

Stephen will lead the OWASS team in the NSMQ finals on October 31 when they come up against Presec and Achimota School.

At the time of writing this report, the video had gathered over 3,000 likes and 15 comments.

Primetime dismiss petition by Prempeh College

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Primetime Limited, organisers of the National Science and Maths Quiz, has thrown out the petition submitted by Prempeh College in relation to the semi-final contest involving Opoku Ware School and Pope John SHS.

The five-time champions wanted the organisers to overturn the results in their favour.

The organisers said upon careful review, it was satisfied with the explanation given by the NSMQ consultant and the quiz mistress regarding a disputed riddle.
