Prempeh College Requests Independent Body To Adjudicate Dispute With NSMQ, Statement Goes Viral

Prempeh College has officially responded to the statement issued by Primetime Limited, organisers of the National Science and Maths Quiz, in relation to its earlier petition seeking a resolution regarding a semi-final contest involving them, Opoku Ware School and Pope John SHS.

The five-time winners of the NSMQ, in its release on October 24, said it remains resolute that the answer provided by contestants of the school regarding the disputed riddle in the fifth round was correct.

The school is calling for an independent body to look into the issues raised instead of relying on the Physics consultant of the NSMQ, who, according to them, cannot be trusted.

"We are available to make a further presentation(s) if need be anytime before the final competition to set the records straight. We believe that Primetime cannot rely on the same Physics Consultant who has relied on unconfirmed and unconventional concepts, which is unrelated to the question the competition asked to justify the rejection of the correct answer our contestant gave.
"Given that we may have reached an impasse, we request that an independent Consultant or body be engaged to bring finality to this matter since one cannot be a judge in his own matter" the statement read in part.

Prempeh College in the meanwhile, has to referred the issue to other international institutions and experts for their response.

Many people who reacted to the post sided with Prempeh regarding their stance on this matter.

Abdul Razak stated:

Although I am an old Tamascan, I am beginning to fall in love with Prempeh College for such an intellectual petition. If for nothing at all, this will provide basis for physics students to learn and also awaken the organizers to up their games

If the issues raised by Prempeh is not properly addressed, i think prempeh should consider not participating again. the bias is too much.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Primetime Limited, organisers of the National Science & Maths Quiz, has dismissed the petition submitted by Prempeh College in relation to the semi-final contest involving Opoku Ware School and Pope John SHS.
