Prempeh College Readies To Sue NSMQ In Court After Semi-Final Exit, Peeps React

  • Prempeh College has told the organisers of the NSMQ of its desire to go to court following their exit from the competition
  • The school has maintained that their exit was unfair and believes the right thing must be done
  • The five-time champions made their displeasure known in a new statement released on Tuesday, October 24

Prempeh College has hinted at its intent to take court action against Primetime Limited, organisers of the National Science and Maths Quiz.

This new twist follows a release by the school on October 24, where it revealed that it remains resolute in its stance that the answer provided by its contestants in the fifth round of the semi-final contest involving them, Opoku Ware School and Pope John SHS, was correct.

The statement signed by the school's NSMQ coordinator, PB Damoah, revealed that every available option will be taken to ensure that they get a fair hearing.

"We are resolute in our minds that our answer is correct, and we will rake all available steps and means, including legal, if necessary, to ensure that Prempch College and its contestants are given a fair hearing.
In instances where we have exited the competition, we have supported Primetime and the winning school and congratulated them. This is the first time we have had to engage Primetime on this level because we genuinely believe in the position we have taken," the statement read in part.

The statement, which was sighted by YEN.com.gh on the Facebook page of Prempeh College Online, has gathered over 100 likes and 17 comments as of the time of writing the report.

Many people who reacted to the post were on the side of Prempeh College regarding the ongoing impasse with NSMQ.

Let’s gooo. Like I said , Prempeh College is the pacesetting school . We may have to be the first school to sue National Science & Maths Quiz and Primetime over issues surrounding the competition. I wonder why Primetime cannot just stick to the substance of our protest

NSMQ dismisses Prempeh's petition

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that the NSMQ dismissed the petition submitted by Prempeh College in relation to the semi-final contest involving Opoku Ware School and Pope John SHS.
