He said the tragedy was deeply personal for him because he was very close to her as she introduced him to his wife, with whom he has been together for 15 years.

“I've been married for 15 years. We met because of her elder sister, who calls me Mr President. She's the only one who has a name for me that no one else uses. Two days before today, God called her to his bosom,” he said.

Reverend Obofour added that despite the painful nature of the loss, he is okay with it because he believes that it is God’s will.

He admonished his congregation that they should learn to accept death when it occurs because God is in charge of everything.

“ If you serve God and you've not gotten to a level where when you lose someone, you give thanks to God, then you're still a gospel baby,” he added.
