ECG frames outage as maintenance, not crisis
ECG has been clear that Sunday's interruption is a targeted, time-bound maintenance exercise and is not connected to any wider systemic power shortage.
The company is urging residents and business owners in the affected communities to make the necessary preparations ahead of the scheduled downtime.
The announcement arrives in a country still conscious of the damage caused by the 2012 to 2016 dumsor crisis, a prolonged period of severe load shedding that disrupted businesses and daily life across Ghana.
Sunday's planned outage, however, falls outside that category, according to ECG.

Areas such as Kokrobite, Adeiso and Ansapatu are among those expected to experience the interruptions.
