50-Year-Old Woman Who Married as a Virgin Delivers Triplets after Waiting for 25 Years

A couple has become first time parents 25 years after they tied the knot as they recently had a set of triplets.

The couple had got married in their twenties but couldn't record success at having their own kids despite exploring all legitimate options, including doing IVF ( In vitro fertilization).

Speaking with The Punch in an interview, the new father of three identified as Deacon Michael Nwankwo said he never envisaged their kids coming more than two decades after marriage.

The new mum still wants more kids

According to the 52-year-old Lagos businessman, he married his woman at the age of 26 in a bid to have kids early and grow together with them.

"...I am one person who earnestly desired children, and my purpose of getting married when I did was to have children and see my children and I grow together. I couldn’t imagine it would get to that point where I would have to wait for 25 years.
"During our first two months in the marriage, my wife got pregnant and unfortunately, due to inexperience we travelled to Ghana and she miscarried the baby. Thereafter, it just went up and down. It was not an easy journey to walk,'' he said.

Nevertheless, he appreciated God for finally making him a father.

On her part, the new mum, 50-year-old Victoria Nwankwo appreciated God for the miraculous delivery, revealing that she had stopped seeing her period when the pregnancy came.

Victoria who tied the knot as a virgin at the age of 24 said she looks forward to having more kids.

Couple welcome twins after 21 years of waiting

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh previously reported that a couple had welcomed a set of twins after 21 years of childlessness.

The development was announced by a family member, Faith Elvis Ovie, on Facebook on Saturday, June 12.

One of the photos she shared on the platform shows the woman when she was still pregnant. Other snaps displayed the newborn twins.

In conversation with YEN.com.gh, Elvis gave the names of the parents as Justice Onadaipe and Mary Onadaipe. She revealed the couple stay in Warri, Delta state. On how the parents reacted to the news, the family member disclosed that the husband has stopped going to work out of great happiness.
