In her conversation with CEO Today, Wangare revealed that she had to relocate to Saudi Arabia to secure funds for her university fees.

"My journey is quite long. I was just a small girl from a village in Kiambu who grew up on a farm. I was orphaned at a very young age and I grew up hating poverty because that is what occupied half of our life.
My journey started after high school, around 2003/2004. After I passed my KCSE, I did not have a way out, campus was calling and there was no money. My sister was in Saudi Arabia, and at 19, I left to stay with her for three years, saving money to fund my college education," she disclosed.
