Woman Who Abandoned Days-Old Baby Says Nigerian Lover Waited For Her

  • A woman, Agum, who abandoned her newborn for another man, has finally spoken up on the matter, saying that she never wanted a kid
  • She revealed that she was never ready for the child, and her child’s father, Andanje, was currently jobless to support her
  • The woman decided to leave the newborn to his dad and moved in with a Nigerian man in the leafy suburbs of Kilimani

A Kenyan lady, Agum, who abandoned her newborn, has finally spoken about the matter.

Why did Agum abandon her child?

In an interview with Trudy Kitui, the lady revealed she was not ready to have a child.

Agum disclosed that they met while travelling, and after a few weeks, they decided to start dating.

She noted that she was a Christian; hence, the option left after learning she was pregnant was to keep the baby.

After giving birth, she left the child with her baby daddy since she was not ready for the responsibility of having a child.

" I had made it clear that I did not want a child. I still have my future, I had told him that I will keep the pregnancy, but whatever comes out of it is on him. I went back to my life. I didn't expect this guy to cause havoc that I gave birth and left the kid with him.. I gave birth and gave the owner his kid. I have gone back to my life."

Agum in love with Nigerian man

Agum revealed that she worked for her Nigerian lover and loved how supportive he was.

"I wasn't proud of the pregnancy. My parent's obviously knew but I did not expect this guy to come out. We have known each other for a dew year. He has een in and out of Kenya. We have known each other for some time before we started dating."

The lady disclosed that her Nigerian boyfriend knew she was pregnant and was ready to wait for her.

"The Nigerian guy knew I was pregnant and due to the connection we hold he was ready to wait for me."

The man, Andaje, disclosed that he cared for the child without anyone's help.

"We were together for nearly one and a half years because we met in 2022. So we were married. There are pictures we had taken together but I deleted some due to my anger."

How Sakaja rescued abandoned infant

In other news, Glady Atieno, aged 45, gave birth at night in her dilapidated house in Kariobangi, Embakasi West.

Her neighbours got concerned after she left the child on a wet mattress to go and hustle for money to pay rent and food.

The neighbours alerted Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja's team, who came and did household shopping for the needy woman.

Pastor adopts abandoned baby

In 2022, YEN.com.gh reported that a pastor identified as Blessedconvenant Cyril Antai adopted a baby abandoned in front of his church.

Cyril in a Facebook post, shared photos of the baby while revealing that a mother had abandoned her baby at his church.

After following due protocols, including going to the police station to report the case, the pastor decided to adopt the baby.
