He specifically referenced teachings captured in Luke 6:35, which encourages believers to love their enemies, do good to them, and lend without expecting anything in return.

According to him, this particular instruction is one of the most challenging aspects of Christian living.

Struggle with loving enemies

Prophet Roja openly admitted that in real-life situations, he finds it difficult to extend love to individuals he considers enemies.

Instead, he said he focuses on protecting himself from what he described as harmful intentions or schemes directed at him.

He explained that while forgiveness and love are important Christian values, believers must also be mindful of situations that could negatively affect their lives and well-being.

Rhetorical question sparks reaction

To support his argument, the prophet posed a rhetorical question, asking whether it is realistic for someone to continue loving another person who is actively working against their livelihood.

He questioned whether individuals could still show love to someone who spreads false information or rumours capable of destroying their source of income.

According to him, such situations make it extremely difficult to practice unconditional love as taught in scripture.

Advice to Christians

Prophet Roja further advised Christians not to force themselves into tolerating harmful situations under the guise of following Christ’s example.

He warned that such behaviour could amount to hypocrisy and even self-destruction if not properly managed.

He encouraged believers to be wise, set boundaries, and protect themselves while still maintaining their faith.

His comments have since generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users praising his honesty and practical approach to faith, while others argued that his stance contradicts core Christian teachings on forgiveness and love.

Prophet Roja is widely known for his controversial statements and bold prophecies, which often attract public attention and spark debate across Ghana’s religious and social spaces.

His latest remarks have once again placed him at the centre of national discussion on how religious teachings are interpreted and applied in everyday life.
