Nkawkaw-based Facebook user Frederick Boateng broke the news on Thursday, August 20, 2026, announcing that Nana Amakye had passed away on Wednesday, AUgust 19, 2026.
The exact circumstances leading to the demise of the entrepreneur remain unknown, with Boateng failing to specify.
The late Amakye's family have yet to publicly issue a statement or officially announce his death.
Abossey Okai Chop Bar, the popular eatery, is located off the Nkawkaw-Accra Main Road, a busy route that brought a steady stream of travellers and locals through its doors over the years.
