NPP activist says Ghanaians losing confidence
Speaking to YEN.com.gh, Nabil Abubakar, a member of the Action Movement for Bawumia 2028, stated that the six-point drop in President Mahama's approval rating indicated that Ghanaians were losing confidence in his leadership.
He attributed this decline to the end of the honeymoon phase and the emergence of reality, suggesting that people were seeing through the government's propaganda and empty promises.
The young politician noted that the falling approval ratings signalled growing frustration among Ghanaians regarding issues like jobs, the economy, and corruption.
He further urged the NPP to capitalise on this situation by engaging with grassroots communities and offering practical solutions that address everyday struggles.
"The six-point drop in President Mahama’s approval rating is a clear sign that Ghanaians are beginning to lose confidence in his leadership. It shows that the honeymoon phase is over and reality is setting in. People are beginning to see through the propaganda and empty promises his communicators have been pushing. For us in the NPP, this is an opportunity to demonstrate that trust in leadership must be built on consistency, delivery, and vision, not sweet talk," he said.
"If his numbers are falling this early, it signals growing frustration among Ghanaians about issues such as jobs, the economy, and corruption. The NPP must capitalise on this by engaging the grassroots and offering practical solutions that resonate with everyday struggles," he added.
Ghanaians react to the Global InfoAnalytics' poll
Ghanaians on social media have reacted to the national tracking poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics.
YEN.com.gh compiled a few of the reactions below:
@Sulley Laari Musah said:
"Galamsey and Oral are the main reasons. It will go further lower if oral and galamsey fails."
@Don Inusah Lorenzo also said:
"Please keep on keeping on with the inclusion of Ashanti Region even in 2028 wai."
@Frank Ofori commented:
"When you have good of the people, it should not be taken for granted. How can you have teachers less than 6000 work for over a year without salaries? These things will definitely affect the public perception about the government."
@Sachibu Nuru also commented:
"The drop in the approval is caused by the Attorney General Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine. We were anticipating by now at least 3 or 4 people will be in jail. But what do we see, plea bargaining. Now what shows he himself is not compromised?"
@Zakaria Tuferu wrote:
"They should keep on playing hide and seek with the galamsayers whiles our bodies and food systems keep on deteriorating."
