Liverpool star Diogo Jota has sadly passed away following a devastating car accident in Spain.
The 28-year-old forward died in the early hours of Thursday, July 3, alongside his younger brother, André Silva.

According to local reports, the two were travelling in a Lamborghini when disaster struck.
The car reportedly suffered a tyre blowout while overtaking on the A-52 highway near Cernadilla, a mountainous town close to Zamora in northwestern Spain.
The vehicle veered off the road and burst into flames, claiming both lives instantly.
The heartbreaking incident comes just days after Diogo Jota tied the knot with his long-time partner, Rute Cardoso, per the Daily Mail.
The couple, who share three children, had only recently celebrated their wedding in Porto.
Why Diogo Jota was travelling from Spain to Portugal via road
Further reports from the BBC have revealed why Jota was on the road in the first place.
The Portuguese international had recently undergone a minor surgical procedure and had been advised by doctors not to fly.

Instead, he opted to travel overland from Porto to Santander, where he planned to board a ferry back to the UK ahead of Liverpool’s pre-season.
Zamora, where the accident occurred, lies roughly halfway between Porto and the northern port city of Santander.
It's believed Jota had taken the same route in reverse for his wedding journey just weeks earlier.
Sadly, his return trip to rejoin his teammates never materialised.
Cristiano Ronaldo, others mourn Diogo Jota
Tributes have poured in from every corner of the football community.
Jota's national team captain and five-time Ballon d'Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo, was left stunned, writing that the news "doesn't make sense".
His national teammate and Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes echoed the sentiment, calling it "hard to understand".
Additionally, the manager who signed him for Liverpool in 2020, Jürgen Klopp, shared a heartfelt message: "We will miss you so much."
Meanwhile, in Merseyside, fans gathered outside Anfield to lay flowers and scarves in remembrance.
Diogo Jota's plans before fatal crash
The Portugal international had been due to report back to Merseyside on Monday for the start of pre-season training under new manager Arne Slot.
Liverpool's first pre-season fixture is scheduled for Sunday, July 13, against Preston North End.
