Goalkeeper Joan García has also arrived for €25 million, while young winger Jesse Bisiwu has joined the first-team setup.

Real Madrid have responded with an ambitious summer of their own under returning manager Jose Mourinho.

The Spanish giants have made Yan Diomande their headline signing, bringing the winger from RB Leipzig for a club-record fee exceeding €130 million.

Marc Cucurella has also arrived from Chelsea for €55 million, while Bernardo Silva and Ibrahima Konaté have joined as free agents.

Denzel Dumfries completed a €20 million move from Inter Milan, while forward Carlos Espí arrived from Levante for €25 million.

Based on that, Polymarket's supercomputer has given Barca a 54% chance of retaining the Spanish top flight, with Madrid handed 41%. This means Atletico Madrid have been given little chance of disrupting the established order.

Mourinho's side will face Deportivo La Coruña on August 12 and Schalke on August 16 before starting their league campaign away to Espanyol on August 22.

The two clubs are also competing for Spain captain Rodri, who has reportedly made Barcelona his preferred destination.

The first El Clasico of the season is scheduled for October 25, when Barcelona will host Madrid.

With just 13 percentage points separating the two clubs in the supercomputer's forecast, the race for the La Liga crown could once again go down to the wire.
