Top 10 Ghanaian footballers and their Senior High Schools
Ghana can boast of lots of Senior High Schools and these schools have produced great personalities for the nation.
These personalities include, lawyers, politicians, teachers, bankers, etc.
These same schools have also produced football stars that have played for the Black Stars and also playing for top clubs in Europe.

1. Michael Essien
Essien attended St. Augustine’s College in Cape Coast. After completing his secondary education he joined Liberty Professionals before moving to Europe.
He has played for top clubs like, Chelsea, Real Madrid, AC Milan and Lyon.
2. Asamoah Gyan

He currently plies his trade in the Turkish top-flight for Kayserispor. He had his secondary school education at Accra Academy.
3. Baffuor Gyan
He is the senior brother of Asamoah Gyan, he attended Adisadel College in Cape Coast. He has retired now but during his active days he featured for clubs like Slovan Liberec, Dynamo Moscow and FC Saturn Moscow.
4. Sulley Muntari

The combative midfielder schooled at Osei Kyeretwei Senior High School in Kumasi. He played for Liberty Professionals before signing for Italian side Udinese. He has then played for the likes of AC Milan, Inter Milan, Sunderland and Deportivo La Coruna.

5. John Mensah

He also schooled at Osei Kyeretwei Senior High School. Though he is inactive now but during his prime he was regarded one of the best defenders in Africa.
He featured for European clubs like, Lyon, Sunderland and Rennes.
6. Jonathan Mensah
Making the list is Jonathan Mensah, he had his Senior High School education at Obuasi Secondary and Technical School. He is currently playing for MLS side Columbus Crew.
7. Mubarak Wakaso

8. Mahatma Otoo
The former Hearts of Oak goal poacher had his secondary school education at Ebenezer Senior High School in Accra. He is now in Turkey playing for Balıkesirspor
9. Isaac Co
He attended St. Aquinas Senior High School in Accra. The workaholic middleman is now plying his trade in the Spanish second-tier for Sporting Gijon.
10. Winful Cobbinah
