Meet Abena, the girl who lives at Osu cemetery with her boyfriend

A young Ghanaian girl simply identified as Abena has narrated how she manages to live 'among the dead' at the Osu Cemetery in Accra.

In an interview with EyeGhana sighted by YEN.com.gh on the official YouTube handle of the organization, Abena mentioned that she is usually scared but has had no option than to cope with the situation.

According to her, she made a bold move to stay with her boyfriend who resides at the cemetery as he is unable to afford a more comfortable place to live.

Abena, who appears to be in her late teens or early twenties, said that when she moved to join her boyfriend at first, she could not control herself as she dreaded a moment one of the corpses would emerge from the tomb.

"But my boyfriend told me that when I die, I will also be put among them so I should not be afraid because they are gone and cannot move or come out anymore", she recalls.

Now, the young lady is able to cope from day to day even as she looks forward to a day when they will be presented with an opportunity to leave the dead and join the living.

In an earlier report by YEN.com.gh, Anita Asieduwaa Ama Nkrumah, a 22-year-old senior high school graduate has lost her life after a tipper truck run over her whilst she was cooking in her kitchen.

According to adomonline.com, the sad incident occurred at Senchi-Amanfrom in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region over the weekend.

It is reported that the truck was on a dusty road whilst trying to negotiate a sharp curve when the driver lost control and veered off the road into the structure the young lady was cooking in.
