Former TV3 presenter and mental health advocate Abena Korkor Addo is taking a break from Instagram.
Abena Korkor announced her break in a post on the photo-sharing app on Friday, April 16, 2021.
The post has Abena Korkor's photo in which she dressed decently with an inscription that suggested she will be back on the app.
"Thank you all for your support. I am going off Instagram for a while.," the inscription on the photo read.
Korkor's break from social media comes after weeks of her bombarding her followers with nude photos and videos.
While she had always been known not to be shy of her body, Korkor's publication of her nudes became rampant in the past few weeks.
Her behaviour was triggered by the termination of her contract by Media General, operators of TV3.
Announcing her sack, Korkor claimed her contract had been terminated because of a nude video she posted.
It was in her bid to prove she was cool with her nudist personality that she kept releasing the many 'bad girl' videos and photos.
One cannot tell what might have triggered her changed attitude which has led her to delete those nude photos and go off Instagram completely.
But coming after another controversial social media star, Akuapem Poloo, was jailed over a nude photo with her son, it could be the sentence that is scaring her.
As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, Poloo was sentenced to 90 days in jail after pleading guilty to charges which included the publication of obscene material and domestic violence.
Following the court's judgement, the actress has been whisked away to begin her jail term.
A video has popped up showing Akuapem Poloo was taken away from the court premises in a taxi.
