She was speaking on a relationship show on GhOne TV. Abena Moet's comment was a response to the host who claimed a wife will suspect her husband of cheating when he is unreachable.

The host, Maame Animwaa, said no matter how one forgives a cheating husband, the wife will still be suspicious.

“When my husband cheats, I’ll forgive him, but I’ll never forget. You will never forget, don’t lie. Because even though he has apologised to you and everything, best believe on a weekend where your husband comes to you and tells you, ‘Oh babe, I have to go out of town for the weekend,’ he gets there and, let’s say, something happens, his phone gets missing, or he can’t find his charger, and you can’t reach him for that weekend, the first thing that will come to your mind is, he is with another woman."

“My husband is not stupid. When he’s with that woman, he’ll call me first because he would like to cool the house… The men that cheat actually have the happiest wives. Do you know why? They make sure that when they get there with the side chick because the side chick already knows there’s another woman, so it’s in front of them they will say ‘Oh babe, I’m here,’” Abena Moet stated.

Yussif Chibsah wrote:

"Abena is right; a respectful partner should never keep their significant other in suspense. Even if you want some personal time, it's important to communicate with your partner first. Checking in with them ensures their peace of mind and reassures them that you are safe. Leaving home and turning off your phone can lead to unnecessary worry, which can be a form of emotional abuse. Partners deserve to know each other's whereabouts to maintain trust and security in the relationship.👌👌👌."
