Kumawood actress Joyce Boakye has cleared the air about Afia Schwarzenegger over her allegations about the NPP’s Ernest Owusu Bempah being the father of her daughter, Ohemaa.

On Thursday, September 25, 2025, Afia blasted the NPP member over his recent verbal attacks against the leadership of his party.
She alleged that Ernest Owusu Bempah had a secret affair with Joyce Boakye and was the biological father of her little daughter, Ohemaa.
Afia Schwarzenegger also claimed that the politician abandoned her alleged lover at the hospital after she delivered her baby and that she borrowed GH₵10,000 from the Akuapem North MP, Sammy Awuku, to settle her bills.
The controversial socialite also alleged that Ernest Owusu Bempah had neglected his responsibilities as the father of Joyce Boakye's daughter, Ohemaa.
Joyce Boakye clears the air amid allegations
On Friday, September 26, 2025, Joyce Boakye took to her official TikTok page to debunk some claims made by Afia Schwarzenegger.
In a video, Joyce Boakye noted that her baby daddy helped her pay her rent when they encountered each other for the first time. She also recounted the events that transpired between her and her child’s father after she gave birth.
The Kumawood actress explained that she had planned to follow her mother to Kumasi months after she welcomed her baby, but her baby daddy got her to move out of her sister's apartment to her own.
Joyce Boakye noted that she and Ohemaa's father had only had a little misunderstanding after he requested that she give her child to his sister while she concentrated on her business venture.
She stated her baby daddy also offered to give her some money to invest in her business at the time.
According to her, media personality Delay was among the numerous people who intervened in the matter and advised her against giving her child to her baby daddy’s sister to care for her, as she was still young.
She said:
"He told me to give my child to his sister and continue working because I had my business when we met. He wanted to give me money to invest in my business so he could take the child and give her to his sister. We could not agree on that."
"Delay even intervened in the matter and advised me not to give the child to him since she was still young. She told him to just give me money for my business. Relationships come with many issues. We had a little misunderstanding. He was already angry with me for not handing over the child to him, so he ignored me."
The actress stated that Ohemaa’s father was already angry with her for not giving the child to her and had ignored her for some time.

She also denied Afia Schwarzenegger’s claims that Sammy Awuku provided money to settle her bills at the Royal Good Shepherd hospital after she gave birth to her daughter. She noted that she had the receipts to dispute those claims.
Joyce Blessing noted that her baby daddy's uncle visited the hospital and settled the bills for her to be discharged. She noted that Afia Schwarzenegger’s claims are false and misleading.
She said:
"He was looking after me well. I didn't know Sammy Awuku when I went to give birth at the hospital. Sammy Awuku did not get me discharged from the hospital. I have the receipts. I delivered my baby at Royal Good Shepherd Hospital."
"They charged me GH₵10,000. His uncle was the one who came to pay and get me discharged. He paid for everything, including my child's medicines."
She stated that her baby daddy wanted to have custody of her daughter because of some concerns he had about her antics on social media.
The actress blasted Afia Schwarzenegger and her critics and shared that she had received countless phone calls from people after the allegations came out.
