A new video has emerged online, showing Liverpool's new team bus for the 2026-27 season, which once again features a tribute to their late forward, Diogo Jota.

Jota and his brother, André Silva, died in a car accident in Zamora, Spain, on July 3, 2025, while travelling to catch a ferry back to England ahead of pre-season training.
Since then, Liverpool have maintained a consistent programme of tributes to the pair, including retiring Jota's No. 20 shirt across every level of the club, introducing a "Forever 20" emblem on last season's kit.
The club also unveiled a permanent memorial sculpture at Anfield in May 2026, built partly from artefacts left by fans outside the stadium.
Diogo Jota honoured on new team bus
The video was first posted on Instagram by @RVHEEMO, and then shared by several football accounts on X, along with their own commentary.
The back of the bus features a replica of a banner from the Kop, showing Jota's likeness alongside his No. 20 and the phrase "Campeão Imortal," Portuguese for "immortal champion."
Also, the sides of the bus carry the slogan "This Is Liverpool" set against a red-and-white chequered design.
It marks the second consecutive season the club's matchday transport has carried a tribute to Jota, following a similar design last season.

The tribute has sparked a mixed wave of reactions online, with some fans embracing the gesture and others questioning its timing.

Liverpool is entering a period of significant change both on and off the pitch, with a high turnover of players and staff, meaning many now representing the club were not close with Jota personally.
Even so, the bond between Jota and Liverpool is one the club has called "immortal," with plans already in place to keep honouring him for years to come.
