The case centres on an alleged debt of $14.9 million tied to the Oxford Street Hotel, one of Accra's prominent hospitality properties.

Cola Holdings had moved to take over the hotel as part of recovery proceedings related to the alleged debt claim after the High Court granted the company and its appointed Receiver in Ghana, Nii Amanor Dodoo, a warrant of police assistance.

Cheddar's legal team, led by lawyer Bobby Banson, later filed an appeal against the enforcement of the $14.9 million judgement debt, which the High Court dismissed, paving the way for the Oxford No.1 hotel's takeover by the UK-based company.

However, in the latest development, the High Court has found that the manner in which the takeover was executed did not comply with the relevant court rules, prompting the reversal of the receivership action and the immediate return of the property to the New Force leader.
