Ghana's Milestone at Mister Global 2026
Mister Global is an annual international pageant that positions its contestants as cultural ambassadors and advocates for social change, asking them to represent their countries' identities while demonstrating personal character and vision.
Ghana did not take home the overall Mister Global 2026 title, but the national costume prize has given the country a significant moment to celebrate.
The recognition shines a light on both Adom's presentation and the creative ambition of designer Mankatah Dinaire, whose work now carries the distinction of winning on one of the sport's biggest international stages.

Reuben Nii Adom speaks on costume win
Reuben Nii Adom has shared his thoughts with YEN.com.gh in an exclusive comment after winning the Best National Costume award at Mister Global 2026 in Thailand.
He described representing Ghana as an honour and drew on the ode of his school, Adisadel College, to explain what the moment meant to him.
Adom said:
“Honestly I am very honored to have had the mantle to represent Ghana. In my school (Adisadel College) ode, it says, ‘others have labored and we share the glory, ours to do is exploits and add to their gain.’ So this makes me very proud to be a part of the citizens that fought to put this great country Ghana on the map.”
He then urged young Ghanaians to hold on to their dreams, saying:
“I never thought I would get to this point because it was a dream and that is why I hope this inspires everyone, every young citizen in Ghana to follow their dreams no matter what because with resilience and determination a dream will one day become a reality.”
