The duo dropped Doyle on the floor when the worker raised concerns and fled the scene.

One of the suspects had earlier walked into the post office to claim the money belonging to Doyle, who was in his 70s.

However, he was told that Doyle was the only person who could receive the payment, and no one could collect it on his behalf.

Return with dead body

He then returned with his accomplice and Doyle's body and attempted to get the pension money.

Police were informed that an unconscious man was carried into a post office.

“The guards and an ambulance arrived at the scene where they discovered the man was dead," a source told the publication.

Authorities believed Doyle had died of natural causes but did not rule out other possibilities.
