TB Joshua’s Followers Attend Sunday Service After BBC Report, Photo Emerges

Despite the three-hour documentary aired by the BBC about the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Temitope Balogun Joshua, mostly referred to as TB Joshua, members have continued to express support for the church and its founder.

According to the BBC documentary, over two dozen of the church's ex-members shared their accounts of alleged sexual assault, manipulation, and other abuses allegedly committed by the late man of God during his lifetime.

Reacting, Dare Adejumo, the public affairs director of SCOAN, in a statement, said the BBC documentary was defamatory and individuals the medium had interviewed were not familiar with the church.

TB Joshua’s followers shun BBC report

However, on Sunday, January 14, the worshippers in their large numbers took part in the church's first Thanksgiving service of the year.

The followers faulted claims made about TB Joshua in a recent BBC documentary.

Reacting to the controversial report on TB Joshua, one of the members identified simply as Isaac, disclosed to The Punch that the documentary was targeted at the late founder’s wife, Evelyn, and to reduced further the church's standard.

He said:

“We are not bothered about the video. We are used to it.”

Another member, who pleaded anonymity, said since the cleric died, the church still exists and delivers people.

The member said:

“Those people claimed that our prophet faked miracles, but that is not true. Real miracle happens here.”

A male trader who claimed to have spent close to 20 years in the church area said the recent report had not negatively impacted the turnout of members so far.

Meanwhile, SCOAN is situated in the Ikotun area of Lagos state.

Nana Agradaa allegedly scams church members

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh previously reported that church members of Heaven Way Champion International Ministries, pastored by former fetish priestess Nana Agradaa, sparked reactions online after a video of them lamenting their loss surfaced.

A viral clip had a young lady alleging that Agradaa asked members to bring any money they had in exchange for double the amount, but the church leader is currently nowhere to be found after taking their money.
