Gaisie, the founder and leader of the Prophetic Hill Chapel and one of Ghana’s foremost prophets, stated that he had foreseen doom for certain members of the legislative body.
His prophecy sparked alarm as it came in the wake of two MPs losing their lives within the past few months.
Ernest Yaw Kumi, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP for Akwatia, died on July 7, 2025, after he suffered a heart attack at his home.
Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP for Tamale Central, was one of eight individuals killed when a Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Z-9 helicopter crashed into the Sikama Forest in the Ashanti Region on August 6.
Following the tragedies, a by-election was held in Akwatia on Tuesday, September 2, which was won by the NDC.
A by-election for Tamale Central to elect a new MP has been scheduled for September 30.

He said Parliament was on shaky spiritual standing ground, indicating several MPs were in a precarious position.

Nigel Gaisie claimed that he started having his visions at the age of 14, and the majority of what he sees comes to pass.
“I have visions and trances, but 70% of my propheticism is through dreams. My dreams are not 100% accurate but the majority of what I dream about happens. Once you see a prophecy, you can avert it if the subject takes the necessary steps,” he added.
