"The country has taken a different turn, regressing from where former president Akufo-Addo left it. This is not what we envisioned. The current state of the nation has left many feeling disheartened," he said.

He further suggested that the NPP stands a better chance of winning the 2028 election if it presents a strong candidate like Kennedy Agyapong.

According to him, among all the aspirants who have filed nominations to contest the NPP flagbearer race, slated for January 31, 2026, Kennedy Agyapong, a former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, has the potential to steer Ghana back on track from its current trajectory.

He consequently urged delegates of the NPP to vote massively for Kennedy Agyapong to lead the party to victory in 2028.

“So we believe the NPP, led by a strong leader like Kennedy Agyapong, could bring the country back on track. So dear delegate, let’s try our best, then vote for Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong to win us power in 2028,” he added.

@Ankamah Joel said:

"Who is crying? Oga, cry your own cry."

@MayAnn Thompson also said:

"Say you're crying. Which Ghanaians? Nkwasiansem sei."

@Courage NY MacCarthy commented:

"It appears that we reside in a nation where divisions along political and social lines are prevalent. Following an election, unity seems elusive, and instead of focusing on national progress, there's a tendency to undermine the existing government to implement preferred ideologies. What a situation we find ourselves in."

@Hattoh Wisdom Patrick also commented:

"If you are using Nana addo governance to campaign, then 28.2% is waiting for you in the next election."
