Cristiano Ronaldo once again grabbed the spotlight in the Saudi Pro League as Al Nassr defeated Al-Shabab 4-2, moving to within one victory of securing the league title.
Before kick-off, Ronaldo created a viral moment after teaching a young fan his famous “calma” celebration, which became iconic during his time at Real Madrid.

The youngster copied the celebration in front of the home supporters, drawing huge reactions from the crowd.
During the match, Ronaldo delivered at another crucial moment for Al Nassr.
The Portuguese forward scored the team’s third goal in the 75th minute after a brilliant assist from João Félix and a low cross from Sadio Mané, finishing first-time from inside the penalty area.
According to ESPN, the goal took Ronaldo to 971 official career goals, leaving him just 29 away from the historic 1,000-goal milestone.
He also moved to 26 goals in the league scoring charts, behind only Ivan Toney with 30 and Julián Quiñones with 29.
The strike also saw Ronaldo make Saudi League history by becoming the first player to score against every team in the competition during a single season.
Despite Ronaldo’s latest milestone, the standout performer of the night was João Félix. The Portuguese attacker scored a stunning hat-trick to take his tally to 20 goals for the season and was named man of the match.
Al Nassr’s next major challenge comes against Al Hilal SFC on Tuesday, May 12, in a match that could decide the Saudi League title race.
Cristiano on brink of first Al-Nassr title
Al Nassr currently lead the standings with 82 points, while Al Hilal sit second with 77 points and a game in hand.
Victory for Al Nassr would move them to 85 points with only one match remaining, mathematically ending Al Hilal’s title hopes even if they win their outstanding fixtures.

Ronaldo, who recently experienced a huge drop in his Instagram followership, is also still chasing a potential double this season. Al Nassr are scheduled to face Gamba Osaka in the AFC Cup final on May 16.
According to Fotmob, the Portuguese superstar has not won a club trophy since 2021, when he lifted the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana with Juventus.
Ronaldo drops hint about retirement
