The development has sparked fresh debate on social media, with several people questioning why no official findings have been made public despite an earlier expectation that the report would be released by October 30, 2026.

According to a report by TUKO, the discussion gained momentum on Monday, November 2, after an X user identified as @six_papi shared a post comparing Zimbabwe's handling of the investigation to a separate jet crash in Florida, United States.

In the post, the user questioned why cockpit audio from the Florida incident had reportedly been released within hours, while two months had passed since Chivayo's helicopter crashed without any findings from its black box being made public.

Reactions to delay in Chivayo's crash report

The post attracted several reactions from social media users, with some questioning Zimbabwe's emergency response capacity while others challenged the technical accuracy of the comparison.

@MakotiOmhle wrote:

"Also, as soon as the Florida jet crashed, we started hearing sirens immediately. Response is almost immediate. We have capacity and the funds to be a 1st class country."

@clement_london offered a blunt reaction, writing:

"Zimbabwe is 200 years behind FL; keep that in mind."

@untdafrca disagreed with the comparison:

"That's ATC recording, not full cockpit audio lol. The actual cockpit audio is gonna come from the black box."

@NdimloUnathi, appeared amazed by how quickly time had passed since Chivayo's death, writing:

"It's been 2 months since king of days passed? Yeah, move on pretty fast."
