A Ghanaian man has promised Stephen Apemah Baah, a contestant representing Opoku Ware School in the National Science and Maths Quiz, a handsome financial reward if the school wins this year's competition.
Philip Osei Banahene, an old student of Opoku Ware School, took to Facebook on October 20, to reveal that he will give GH¢5,000 to the 16-year-old every term as a reward for winning the trophy.
Describing Stephen Apemah Baah as his special project, Philip Osei Banahene, in a bid to prove his seriousness, copied the Global President of OWASS in his statement.
"Dear Stephen Kofi APEMAH BAAH of Opoku Ware School #NSMQ team 2023, I am through this medium making a pledge of GHc 5000 per term to you till you finish school, should you bring the trophy home! You are now my Special Personal PROJECT!!!. Katakyie Philip Osei Banahene. BC 291." the post read.

OWASS gets rousing welcome
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Opoku Ware School students jubilated as they NSMQ contestants returned to campus after securing a place in the 2023 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) finals.
The excitement was palpable as the school bus carrying the cheering squad pulled into the campus.
In a video on TikTok, the joyful atmosphere continued as the bus driver honked the horn, adding to the celebratory mood.
