A prophecy made by Ghanaian preacher Prophet Telvin Sowah Adjei in July 2026 has drawn renewed attention following a police operation in Tema in which 866 parcels of a suspected narcotic substance were discovered hidden inside sacks of gari.

The prophet shared the news of the interception on his social media page after it was reported on Thursday, August 6, 2026, describing the development as consistent with what he had earlier foreseen.
Prophet Telvin's earlier warning
In a video that has been circulating widely online, Prophet Telvin Sowah Adjei claimed to have received a vision about what he described as the largest smuggling activity ever to occur in Ghana.
He said the substances in the vision were concealed inside bags to evade detection.
"Some people are doing smuggling, not gold smuggling. In the realm, I saw our largest smuggling ever in this country. I saw it because I was looking at the time, and I saw they were packing sacks of cocoa bags. It's going to be breaking news," he said in the video.
The preacher also indicated that sustained monitoring by authorities would eventually lead to a discovery, suggesting the interception had not yet taken place at the time he made the statement.
The Tema narcotics interception
According to reports, the police operation took place at approximately 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at a warehouse within the Tema Port enclave. Officers intercepted 866 parcels of a suspected narcotic substance that had been concealed inside sacks of gari and konkonte.
The consignment was being loaded into a 40-foot container, reportedly for export.
Three individuals were arrested at the scene while allegedly overseeing the loading process.
The suspects include a Dutch national and two Ghanaians. All three, along with the truck and the seized parcels, remain in police custody as investigations continue.
