Jose Mourinho told off reporters questioning his squad choices following Fenerbahce's draw in the Turkish Super Lig on October 20.
Fenerbahce were held to a two-all draw by third-placed Samsunspor at the Samsun 19 Mayis Stadium.
Mourinho was forced to respond to questions about why some players did not get as many minutes as expected.
"I'm starting to learn what Turkey is. I'm surprised that you don't ask why goalkeeper Irfan doesn't play, I'm surprised that you don't ask about Cenk Tosun, I'm surprised because you always ask about the players that don't play," he said, as quoted by ESPN.
Mourinho tells journalists to 'stop crying'
The Portuguese head coach, who took the job this summer after being sacked by AS Roma, was specifically quizzed about Irfan Can Kahveci, who started on the bench. He was introduced on the hour mark.
"‘I expected these questions because you ask them every week now. You keep crying about players who don’t play."
The draw left Mourinho's side eight points adrift of league leaders Galatasaray, but they have a game in hand.
Jose Mourinho vs Erik ten Hag
The comments come as the former Real Madrid manager is preparing to face his former side, Manchester United. Mourinho will be looking to heap more misery on Erik ten Hag, who has yet to win in the Europa League this season.
Ten Hag took some pressure off himself with a win against Brentford on Saturday for United's first win in six attempts in all competitions.
