There are two ranks when applying for the Ghana National Ambulance Service Training School. We have the Basic and the Advanced Emergency Medical Trainers. The two courses are both offered in the training school, but the academic requirements vary. To join the school, you will need to meet the requirements to prove that you are fit to be part of their program.

1. Emergency Training Technicians (BASIC NON-DRIVER)

After ensuring that you are eligible for the program, you can go ahead and check that you meet the minimum educational requirements. They include the following:

  • SSSCE/WASSCE with credits in 5 subjects, including mathematics, English, and Science or an equivalent.
  • BECE certificate
  • You must be computer literate

2. Emergency Medical Technicians (ADVANCED)

What qualifications do I need to become an ambulance technician? For those who want to go for the advanced EMT courses, then the academic requirements are slightly higher than the Basic ones.
