Nana Akua Agyapong, the young daughter of prominent Ghanaian politician and businessman Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has courted attention after a video of her surfaced on social media.

In a video seen by YEN.com.gh, the daughter of the former Member of Parliament (MP) for the Assin Central constituency beamed with excitement as she embarked on a solo campaign for her father.

Nana Akua Agyapong wore a white T-shirt, branded with her father's image and called on some Ghanaians to join Kennedy Ohene Agyapong's political movement to help him secure victory in the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) primaries scheduled for 2026.

This marked a rare public appearance for Nana Akua, whom the NPP flagbearer welcomed with the late Stacy Offei-Darko, the former Deputy CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), who passed away during a surgery at Obengfo Hospital in 2018.

Kennedy Agyapong files nomination in NPP race

Footage of Nana Akua Agyapong campaigning for her father, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, comes days after the former Assin Central MP filed his nomination forms and officially entered the race to become the next flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2028 general elections.

He received a rousing reception from his loyal supporters as he arrived at the party's headquarters at Asylum Down on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, to file his nomination forms.

The NPP presidential primaries would be held on January 31, 2026, with Kennedy Agyapong, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, Bryan Acheampong and Yaw Osei Adutwum all vying to run in the 2028 elections on the party's ticket.

Nana Akua attends Kennedy's 65th birthday party

Nana Akua Agyapong was present at her father, Kennedy Agyapong's residence as he celebrated his 65th birthday with a big party in June 2025.

Other attendees included Kennedy Agyapong's wife, Christiana Agyapong, and some of his children, including Kenneth Takyi Agyapong, Nana Akua Agyapong, and Amanda Agyapong, along with businessmen Dr Osei Kwame Despite and Dr Ernest Ofori Sarpong.

High-profile figures from the NPP, including National Organiser Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B), General Secretary Justin Frimpong Koduah, and the Nhyiaeso constituency MP, Stephen Amoah, also attended the party to celebrate Kennedy Agyapong's birthday.

At the event, Nana Akua Agyapong courted attention as she made a grand entrance with her father.

Nana Akua Agyapong looked beautiful and all grown up as she sported a white dress and sat beside her father at a big table with her family members.

Kennedy's daughter shows off his plastic factory

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Kennedy Agyapong's daughter showed off her father's plastic factory.

In a video, Amanada Foriwaa Agyapong toured the multiple rooms in the factory and shared the process used to make the plastic items.

Footage of Kennedy Agyapong's plastic factory triggered mixed reactions from Ghanaians on social media.
