Fans at Sarkodie’s Rapperholic concert at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium were left scrambling for shelter as rain pelted them ahead of the highly anticipated program.

The Ghanaian rapper left fans in his hometown of Kumasi excited as he announced in July 2025 that he would be hosting his annual concert in the city this year.

In an Instagram post shared on July 22, 2025, Sarkodie announced that the event, titled Rapperholic: Homecoming, would take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, September 27.

Sarkodie visited Manhyia to meet the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to secure permission to host the concert in his kingdom and promised fans an exciting event.

He subsequently went on a heavy promotional tour through the city, culminating in the announcement of supporting acts including Medikal, Efya, and the dancehall king of Ghanaian music, Shatta Wale.

Rain sends fans running at Rapperholic

After eagerly awaiting the concert for months, fans were left scrambling for shelter during the event as rain poured down on the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

In a video seen by YEN.com.gh on the TikTok page of Dek 360 Ghana, dozens of fans fled out of the open to find shelter from the downfall.

Many held umbrellas to protect themselves, while those without one shielded themselves with various articles of clothing.

Below is a TikTok video showing Sarkodie fans fleeing from the rain at Rapperholic.

In another video, some fans were seen wringing out their clothes after the rainfall and promising that nothing could stop them from enjoying the concert.
